Project 12 Year Starts & Rolls!

by

For those interested, the 2011 Project 12 Bible/Discipleship intensive
at JPUSA in Chicago has launched our 10 month 3 trimester schedule
with the theme “Friends of Jesus”.

We’ve completed “The Gathering”, a ten-day retreat (“advance” really:)
at Cornerstone Farm which incorporates a lot of getting-to-know one
another time, worship, classes and play and are now moving through the
normal P12 schedule here in the inner city.

Curt, Wendi, Jon, Neil and Glenn brought teaching, worship and prayer
throughout the week. Caroline, Tyler, Brian, Ami and Dawn served and
brought great input on a number of levels including a mini-golf and other
fun social times as well as visits to the local Dairy Queen :)

For more on The Gathering including photos and my teaching there this
year on Art & Creativity, have a look at glennkaiser.com
where two blogs were just posted (10-9-2011).

With solid focus on the Person and teachings of Jesus Christ, we have
more than a dozen different instructors interacting with P12 students
this year. Besides community living, fellowship, worship, practical
servanthood, an out-of-state mission trip and a lot of fun, here are
some of this year’s class titles to give you an idea of where our
focus is:

Discipleship: Friends of Jesus, Life Together, Every Day With Jesus,
Being With Jesus (multiple prayer and personal communion emphasis),
Jesus’ Gifts and Call (including arts & creativity emphasis), Person
and Work of the Holy Spirit, Sharing Our Stories, Memorizing Jesus’
Words, Jesus in the Old Testament, The Story of Jesus, The Jesus I
Never Knew, Book of John, How to Study, Mapping Your Life,
Accountability, Mission Business, Peacemaking (emphasis on anger
management and forgiveness), JPUSA Community History and more.

Thanks for your prayers!
