On October 27, from 12 noon to 5 pm, there is going to be one whale of a sale at Jesus People USA’s 920 W. Wilson Avenue address, a.k.a., the Chelsea House. Various wonderfully talented handcrafters of everything from jewelry to exotic oils to clothing to purses to… well, you have to come and see to find out the rest. We so hope all our neighbors, and even those who live not so close by, will come to visit us and shop and just meet artists (or at least art lovers). Twenty percent of the proceeds from “Indie in the Windy City” goes to Cornerstone Community Shelters, our multifacted outreach to homeless women, children, and men. So please, do come won’t you?
Indie in the Windy City Handcrafted Market is an alternative craft market, held twice a year to benefit Cornerstone Community Outreach (ccolife.org). The Market is held in the historic Chelsea Hotel in Chicago’s uptown neighborhood. Over 30 crafters will be selling their goods. Handmade clothing and accessories, jewelry, soy candles and lotions, plush, recycled items, cards and paper goods, wood items, gift for guys, gifts for girls gifts for the kids!
Easy access to the market: 2 1/2 blocks east of the Wilson Red line stop, 1/2 block east of the 151 Sheridan Wilson bus stop, 4 blocks west of Lake Shore Drive.
