Haiti has many, many families and persons in serious trouble as the major storm Ivan is tonight striking that nation. Because of the severe earthquake last year, many Haitians are living in shacks unable to withstand the high winds of a tropical storm on its way to becoming a hurricane.
Many charities are gathering their forces; the needs, however, will likely be much larger. Our denomination, the Evangelical Covenant Church, has special Haiti projects (as well as projects aimed at other nations), and we offer the ECC-World Relief pages.
